The Talwar was a stalwart weapon of the Indian Army and were designed to combat the British sabre in terms of slashing and thrusting capability. The Talwar also features a thick hand guard that not only offered protection, but was also used as a fearsome set of brass knuckles in close quarter combat.
This version of the famous blade is made by Cold Steel, a company that honour the traditional designs of weaponry but use modern manufacturing techniques to improve quality and lengthen the working life. The 33" blade of the Talwar is made from the finest 1055 grade steel to stay sharp for many years.
